Job Description Cyberspace Solutions seeks exceptionally qualified individuals to serve as a Systems Architect in support of a DIA contract. The Intelligence Community Security Coordination Center (IC SCC) is a federal cyber center with a mission to ensure the execution of defensive activities, coordinate security monitoring across the IC, and maintain awareness of security-related threats, events, and incidents.
The Systems Architect is responsible for performing technical research that would be the basis for system solutions. The architect considers user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or platforms to introduce new applications, process improvements, or map out long-term solutions., and cost effectiveness.
The System Architect will work with the IC SCC Engineering team to ensure cyber security and reporting systems and applications are developed in a manner consistent with efficiency and performance
The Systems Architect will make sure that Security is considered in the system design from the onset
Candidate will work with the Cloud provisioning team to select compute, storage, networking, and security in all IC SCC developed systems
Candidate will assist developers, engineers, and system administrators to successfully navigate the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
Candidate will provide inputs to generate system documentation for the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)
Candidate will work with the Engineering Technical Lead to produce metrics and reporting for the customer
Job Requirements The position of Systems Architect shall possess the following qualifications
Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel including senior and executive management in a professional manner
Experience with AWS Cloud Infrastructure, technologies, and cost calculator
Experience with the RMF process steps 1 through 6
Detail-oriented, motivated professional with strong communication and presentation skills
Strong understanding of current information security theory and frameworks
Familiarization of industry trends and emerging IT technologies for system architecture
Knowledge of security methodologies, controls and architecture including the use of firewalls, authentication, encryption, and other aspects of defense
Familiarization with DoDAF architecture framework, a plus
A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or other IT-related field plus 5 years of industry experience preferred; or an Associate's Degree plus 8 years' experience, a Master's Degree, or a PHD, or a High School Diploma plus 10 yeas of experience
Must be able to obtain DoD Certifications within 6 months of hire IAT Level II and CND Infrastructure Support. (ie. Sec+, CEH, SSCP, CISSP)
