Job Description

The Technical Lead (TL) position is a senior development role. The TL will act as the development lead on projects and supervises the day-to-day activity of development team (back-end developers and/or front-end developers) and functions as a project team's most senior applications architect. The TL partners functionally within project teams, working under the direction of the Technical Architect (TA), and the Project Manager (PM). The TL can be involved in sprint planning, code development, release planning, running daily scrums, performing code reviews, risk assessment, development task definition & delegation, providing technical direction and guidance to all the development team members on the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work closely with the development team and client stakeholders to navigate the Salesforce technical landscape and ultimately design, implement and launch a working technical solution that meets or exceeds client expectations and ultimately drives business value.
Be able to effectively operate in a fast-paced environment, utilizing an excellent time management, communication and critical thinking skills in combination with a deep Salesforce platform and technical expertise to drive the success of all the projects from beginning to end.
Own definition of the end-to-end solution architecture to accommodate defined business requirements. This includes a delivery framework that ensures quality and success.
Communicate technical solutions and design tradeoffs effectively to business stakeholders.
Work with project managers and/or clients to scope work and produce estimates to help define deliverables and timelines.
Interact directly with customers to review requirements, manage project delivery and obtain deliverable feedback.
Design and develop customer solutions in VisualForce, Apex, Lightning, and other Salesforce technologies, as well as web application technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and APIs.
Experience working on SOAP / REST API based web service integrations.
Develop software solutions using Salesforce.com API framework, and 3rd part APIs.
Build integration jobs based on instructions and pre-established guidelines from a Technical Architect using available tools.
Facilitate code-sharing and control by regularly submitting code to concurrent version control system.
Manage commitments across multiple projects.
Willingness to travel (up to 75%).
Achieve and maintain Salesforce.com certification requirements: Platform Developer I and II.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5+ years of hands-on development utilizing the programmatic framework of the Force.com Platform including Mobile, SSO, API's, web services, and integration to enterprise systems.
Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, and general web functions and standards.
Deep expertise and hands-on experience with web application programming leveraging HTML, CSS, JavaScript, API's, and associated libraries and frameworks.
Excellent understanding of object-oriented concepts and design patterns (e.g. Java, Ruby, C#, C++, etc).
Excellent understanding of the MVC (Model View Controller) design pattern.
Utilization of relational databases including MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, and/or other RDBMS.
Professional experience in a test-driven and formal QA development environment.
Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly scrum and sprint-based delivery.
Experience with unit, integration and end-to-end system testing and performance tuning.
Preferred Tech and Prof Experience
Familiarity with user interface development principles and experience with JavaScript, SQL, HTML and CSS.
Experience with eco-system solutions a plus (CloudCraze, DemandWare, others).
Experience with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud. Marketing Cloud and Lightning Components, a plus.
Experience working with CMS, ERP, CPQ, Portals, SSO, and/or eCommerce enterprise applications, a plus.
Ability and desire to participate in project planning and scoping, both in a project kickoff role as well as a pre-sales role
Willingness to communicate project exceptions (e.g. slipping schedules) to project manager
Clear and effective written, verbal, and listening skills.
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or comparable experience and at least two years of consulting work experience
