SMBC Nikko Securities America, Inc. is looking for an Executive Director to assist DCM (Debt Capital Markets) in providing rating advisory and capital management solutions to corporate clients globally. - Interface with DCM on the design, proposal and execution of various public and private debt management strategies for SMBC clients - 25% - Assess clients credit rating related Corporate finance objectives to facilitate strategic decision making process - 25% - Prepare presentation materials to incorporate with DCM when pitching to issuing clients. Prepare sales memo with DCM for sales and traders in anticipation any fund raising/capital control exercise - 25% - Interface with clients officers, corporate finance staffs, rating agency for discusion/execution of live transactions - 25% Essential functions: - Design, optimize and implement debt management strategies for investment grade, high yield, distressed corporates - Partner with FI trading on private execution and principal sale initiatives - Review debt documentation, including assessments of covenants - 10 years of prior directly relevant experience - Working experience at major rating ageceny firm - BS or BA, or its equivalent - Series 7, 79 & 63 - Bloomberg, Word, Excel, PowerPoint - Strong verbal and communications skills - Ability to understand/deconstruct capital structures - Good understanding of corporate finance, capital structure, covenant considerartion, financing documentation, tax fundamentals and rating methodology - Solid modeling skills Associated topics: attorney corporate, business, company, compliance department, compliance office, corporate, corporate attorney, counsel, legal, legal department
