As the Inclusion and Diversity Program Manager, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to all aspects of the Inclusion and Diversity function at SMBC. You will lead, develop, and expand our current enterprise resource group (ERG) program to include CAN and LATAM. You will consult with key stakeholders to identify opportunities to leverage our ERGs to advance the I&D and Americas Division strategies. Your ability to influence positive change, identify development needs and provide education on cultural topics will take proactive and effective communication skills to move the I&D agenda forward. To be successful, you ll need to think outside the box, be creative, be detail oriented, and accept different levels and timing of change. Your ability to facilitate meetings through affective presentation skills will be used to train, persuade, and engage employees at all levels of the organization. You will get the opportunity to stretch and showcase your skill set each day both internally and with our external relationships. This role will report the Head of Inclusion and Diversity and work closely with senior leadership, HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and all business lines throughout the Americas Division. All ERG related programming: Annual planners, budgets, event planning, membership tracking Expansion of ERG program on West Coast, CAN, LATAM ERG Intranet page development and maintenance Development of key metrics membership, business line participation, demographics Increase referrals from ERG members for sourcing new hires Work closely with Talent Acquisition on campus recruiting initiatives ERG accolade identification, data gathering, and application Consult with ERG leaders on goals and challenges Develop and manage ERG leader/member recognition program Support ERGs with Marketing and Communications needs in partnership with Corp. Comm. Identify opportunities to leverage ERGs to advance I&D goals Build out ERG leadership training program Project manage ERG Summit and I&D global calls Secretary for the Executive Diversity Council Set up meetings, take notes, distribute meeting minutes Other Responsibilities could include: Facilitation support for educational programs in partnership with L&D All accolade data gathering and application submission Manage I&D intranet site (once launched) Proven track record in the Inclusion and Diversity space Experience managing employee resource groups preferred At least two years working experience in a corporate environment At least two years experience working in the Inclusion and Diversity Space Financial Services industry experience required Strong Word and PowerPoint skills Bachelor s degree or equivalent Experience managing ERG preferred Business First mindset Advisor/consultant approach Ability to be a change agent with cultural intelligence Proven background in communicating and influencing internal stakeholders to reach beneficial outcomes Extremely strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills Ability to weave inclusion and diversity issues and initiatives through broader HR agenda Ability to initiate projects and see them through to completion Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately Ability to work effectively across various leadership levels and business units Strong team player and able to collaborate well with others
